Bain London at the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge

Last week, despite a London tube strike, 30 die-hard Bain employees made it to Battersea Park to take part in the annual JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge.  Read more about the event below.

For the past three years, Bain has participated in the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, no matter what the weather or transport system throw at us. Luckily, for this year’s event the weather was glorious. With the sun beaming over us, we joined 14,350 others to make our way around the park to raise money and awareness for Age UK (the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life).

Everyone was excited to take part and proud to be doing something for a good cause. The enthusiastic elite runners (some running an additional ~5 km from the office to get to the park) completed the race before many of us even started. But it was worth the wait. As we crossed the start line, we had a very loud shout out from the event commentator, Matt Dawson, ex-England rugby player, who noticed our very bright red t-shirts. And he wasn’t the only one who noticed them, as we also won the t-shirt contest. As a result of our artistic design, $1000 was donated to Age UK on Bain’s behalf. Two of our very talented team, who designed the wonderful t-shirts which we wore for the race, went up on stage at the end of the day to receive the award.

It was an amazing result for runners and organisers.
